R1770,00
The 2024 Tembela Syrah showcases dark berry fruit, layered spice, and lifted aromatics of white pepper and tobacco leaf. Sourced from Polkadraai Hills and Swartland vineyards, whole-bunch fermentation and maturation in seasoned barrels bring structure, elegance, and a long, vibrant finish.

The 2024 Tembela Syrah
opens with a captivating bouquet, where lively notes of white pepper and coriander spice mingle with the warmth of tobacco leaf. As the wine breathes, delicate nuances of petrichor emerge, lending a striking depth and sense of place.
Winemaking & Maturation
Fermented and matured in seasoned oak barrels, this Chenin Blanc spent 12 months developing depth and character, while retaining purity of fruit.
Palat
On the palate, concentrated dark berry fruit takes center stage before giving way to layered spice. A vibrant acidity carries the wine into a long, persistent finish, leaving a refined and memorable impression.
The Wine
This Syrah is crafted from a thoughtful blend of terroirs: 80% sourced from the Karibib vineyard in Polkadraai Hills and 20% from Jakkalsfontein in the Swartland. Together, these sites bring both power and elegance to the wine.
In the cellar
80% of the grapes were vinified with whole bunches (or with stems reintroduced), building aromatic lift and structure. Fermentation unfolded in open-top tanks with regular punch-downs for optimal extraction, before the wine matured for 10 months in seasoned 500L barrels. Bottled in January 2025, it reflects both careful craftsmanship and the distinctive character of its origins.
