| Producer information | Mahalia Kotjane has been in the wine industry since 2011, her spark of passion for wine stems from her grade 9 school project on microorganisms where she researched the role yeast plays in the fermentation process. Previously a winemaker at Stark-Condé as well as Lievland Family Wines, Mahalia decided to venture on her own, under her label Three Quarters. Her maiden release is a Shiraz, the first varietal she produced as a student. She believes in the role the weather, terroir and creative process play in creating wine and thus creates wine with as little intervention as possible. |
